Kourosh Kalantar-zadeh is a 2018 Australian Research Council (ARC) Laureate Fellow and a Professor of Chemical Engineering at UNSW, in Sydney. Formerly, he was a Distinguished Professor of Electronic Engineering at RMIT in Melbourne. Kalantar-zadeh is also the Director of the Centre for Advanced Solid and Liquid based Electronics and Optics (CASLEO) at UNSW. Kalantar-zadeh has coauthored nearly 400 research articles, reviews and books. He is a member of the editorial boards of journals including Applied Materials Today, ACS Applied Nano Materials, ACS Sensors, Advanced Materials Technologies, Nano-Micro Letters, and ACS Nano. Kalantar-zadeh is internationally recognised for his work on ingestible sensors, two dimensional semiconductors and liquid metals and has been awarded the 2017 IEEE Sensor Council Achievement Award and 2018 ACS Advances in Measurement Science Lectureship Award (Asia-Pacific region). Clarivate Analytics recognised Kalantar-zadeh as one of the most highly cited researchers in 2018.
